Drawing on my own experiences at the University of California, Santa Barbara as a college professor of radical social change for thirty-one years who has been focused on the climate crisis for the past ten, in this three-part series I explore the crisis of 2019-09-20 · However, speaking about the climate crisis becomes a difficult topic to navigate, as it challenges our everyday behaviours, creating feelings of guilt for our less-than-sustainable behaviours. And yet, perhaps our classrooms remain one of the most important places in shaping our actions for the future. This era’s laissez-faire ideology simultaneously undercut the collective responses needed to address climate change, as government and regulation became dirty words; and, as Klein documents in her book, local government initiatives to address the climate crisis were deemed illegal trade practices by unelected WTO tribunals. Alongside his acting career, he delivers talks on climate change aimed at a more rounded inclusion in the conversation which he is adapting into a play with Complicité theatre company . As a result of these talks he has toured around London and south England discussing climate change and taking part in international climate discussions.
